Final days left to back Kal-Arath Kickstarter

Well, it’s the last few days of the Kickstarter for my sword and sorcery game “Kal-Arath.”

Because it has done so well, two zines has turned into three, a ton of new artwork has been done and commissioned, and Fern Cliff Studios has been hired on to do some dungeons and ruins!

If you’re a fan of the genre, like solo-first games (it works fine for groups too), old school roleplaying games and LOTS of random tabes, this game is right up your alley.

The bonus zine is focused around running a campaign as a Pit Fighter, working your way up from the bottom of the pile through multiple locations in an attempt to win the championship at the Great Arena - and the opportunity to call yourself a Lord of the Pit!

The second part is a sort of gladiator management mini-game where you can go into “season mode,” running a roster of fighters as a Pitmaster trying to win your fortune.

The third part is light rules and more tables for city-crawling in Wretched Thraz, City of Virtue!

Running this Kickstarter has been an amazing experience - if anyone’s interested, I’ll do an article on how I went from running a modestly successful Kickstarter for Studded Leather a couple months ago to having this one at 877% funding with a week to go, all with only a very modest following online.

We are likely to break the $20,000 mark this week and unlock the final stretch goal for it…if you haven’t backed it yet, this is your last chance at getting Kal-Arath core rules, Temple of the Black Ziggurat, and Lords of the Pit zines in printed format…there are still 5 of the “Black Legion Elite” tier as well which is loaded with extras.
