Really cool. Love that you are sharing your notes and your solo insights. I find if I get too far ahead in my play it gets weird for me to go too far back to type up my newsletter. I try to keep really good notes but sometimes I forget to write down a roll or an oracle check and then I have to try to remember why did my character do that??? 😊😊
For sure. I think this time it’s really helpful not to worry so much about my rolls, and more it just explain the mechanics I’m using. I don’t fudge rolls, so what’s happening in the story is actually happening in the game, I just don’t feel like typing up every single roll anymore!!
That was really fun. I love seeing your thought process as you move through the map. And the mini evil parish you're cultivating in the hinterlands of a lawful city is great!
Am I to understand Haxos is potentially becoming an evil priest in a cave near a starting city for another group of adventurers to go fight?!
I must have missed that. Great stuff! I totally hear you in regards to always starting new campaigns and instead committing for the long haul. Really enjoying the posts so far!
awesome. A tip for you, in case you get too far ahead.. there is an app I use on my iPhone, Note AI.. I just plop it down and hit record.. go through my session.. hit stop.. and when its done, it summarizes the whole session for me in a nice little summary, and bullet points. A lot of times I use this for my personal journal notes so I know what happened. Its free too.
I appreciate the difference in the storytelling with Haxos versus with Aeric in Pendragon. Different but no less enjoyable and informative. Your art is insanely impressive and the glances we get at your notes are really cool! I really look forward to every installment of every campaign you do.
I'm wondering what procedures you use to generate the villages and other small settlements Haxos runs into during his adventure. I've never done solo play and would really appreciate if you could point me to some resources!
Love the story so far. I'm rooting for Haxos even though he's an evil bastard (those poor archers!)
One question: when you roll the 3d6 per hex for encounters, do you run with multiple encounters if you roll multiple 6s?
Loved the inclusion of the Mentzer reaction chart, too. It's my personal favorite.
Yes multiple encounters. Since I’m running 12 mile hexes, I decide I can do 2 hexes on open ground a day, so that’s 2d6 for the day in open territory.
Woods is 3 checks a day. So 3d6 for one hex just splitting it into “every four miles” or whatever.
Yeah I never owned mentzer basic, but I love that reaction chart. It’s a little more gentle/flexible.

Keep it up friend! ✊🏽
Haha yes pretty much!
Love it. Looking forward to more chaos.
Those hexmaps are amazing! Did you draw them?
I commissioned them. Reimagining of the ODND survival map (it explains in my last post)

A. Love the bear-worshipping cult. I might join.
B. Is there a threshold where his following/infamy triggers heroes to come slay him? A warband? An army?
C. Dope art as always.

Thank you so damn much Daniel!!
Great session report and great art, as usual. Please keep posting about Haxos, I admit it's a favourite of mine.
Will do thanks so much for checking it out
Hey, love these play reports!

Thanks! I’ll make sure to include this in the next installment
