Man, this is closest thing I've seen in a while to that classic, pure ol' pulpy dark fantasy ethos. You've really got that style in your bones! What kinds of materials are you using for those trees? Just black and grey watercolors? What's going on there?? And how linearly are you making all of this, is my question? Are the blog posts a log of sorta the order-of-operations for worldbuilding here?

Gotta ask: have you seen The Spine of Night (2021)?

Doing the art work fountain or dip pen and India ink wash.

The order of the sketches is how I play and worldbuild in real time. I sketch out ideas and then play with the tables and charts either from the core book or I create them on the fly.

I have seen spine of night! Very “heavy metal” vibe I liked a lot of it

Quest Log! A simple but brilliant idea.

It keeps things in the brain for later exploration and I kind of love the “quest journal” feel of things to go back to with a sort of “this may have been a roll on a random table but the Dm is telling you there’s something more there to explore” kind of feel

This was a fun one. The opening feels amazing very immersive! This would be a great addition to the kal-arath setting, like a region in the world.

Anyways, I continue the binge, on to the next!
